John has 30 years experience in Real Estate Sales and Appraisals, and has been a life-long resident of the Annapolis Valley. This local knowledge will greatly assist home buyers in choosing the right neighborhood and home. John has become a skilled negotiator, a careful listener, and thoroughly enjoys matching the right buyer with the right seller.
John has served on many regional and professional boards related to Real Estate and the community. John holds an AACI and FRI designation. He also serves as an elected Councilor for the Town of Wolfville.
In November 2002, John MacKay was awarded the "Business Person of the Year - 2002" by the Kings County Chamber of Commerce.
In March 2002, John MacKay was named winner of the "Distinguished Realtor of the Year Award" which is an annual award presented by the Nova Scotia Association of Realtors to individuals who set themselves apart by their dedication to both the industry & the community.
John MacKay has been awarded the "Accredited Buyer Representative" (ABR) designation. This is the benchmark of excellence in buyer representation. This coveted designation is awarded to real estate practitioners, by the Real Estate BUYERS AGENT Council (REBAC) of the NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF REALTORS, for acquiring the specified educational and practical experience criteria.
